My Traffic Life

I am Mae German. 34 years old. Born in Mangatarem, province of Pangasinan. I was taught and trained by Juan Dela Cruz, and I am currently being trained for more by Uncle Sam. Writing since the age of 12. Blogging since 2001. I keep a notebook and a pen in my bag, on my bedside table, and inside the bathroom. Misses a lot. Sometimes even my own voice. Loves to laugh. Sometimes even at myself. I am a work in progress. My ultimate dream is to be a SAHM. That is, if I am bound to have that chance in this lifetime... and I am.

My Traffic Rules

Don't take my words personally. At times, not even literally. This is my journal. You're my reader. My spectator. Applaud. Yawp. Yawn. Smile. Frown. Rave. Rant. Or not. Neither can I see you from where I am standing nor can I hear you.

This is not my life. Maybe just a part of it. But this is me meandering through life. My emotions fluctuate. My opinion varies. If it's too hot in here and you can't take it, leave. If it's dull and too cold, go somewhere else for warmth. I won't wipe the frown on your brow.

My stories, unless stated otherwise, are mostly fictional. Fiction could be based on reality. Still, they are fiction. Don't own it. Don't live in it. It is what it is. Leave it.

Watch out for the traffic light. Follow the rules. Cruise.

Woot

You may have seen such artwork in (Japanese) anime or some cartoon series. But wait till I tell you that it ain't a work of some (professional) people who has mastered Fine Arts in college. It's a work of a young lady!

I've seen her draw one time when I visited their home in QC. And I was (star)struck... amazed by the way her hands moved. They brought me back to my Candy-Candy Anime-days, which I am pretty sure most of you do not remember or do not even know about that anime (I wuv the series in high school). I can't even remember the story now, thanks to YouTube though (I'll prolly watch it again... soon).

"How old is she again?" I asked her mom. She was just thirteen then.

J started on Manga Art when she was still in gradeschool (she collects artbooks). And now that she's a pretty young lady of fifteen, her music (she recently learned how to play the guitar) and drawings are much evidence of her burning passion in arts, which I believe will grow into something much promising being blessed with parents who fully support her interests.

May it be in words or in drawings (paintings), every artwork has something to say, so they say. A blank sheet of paper could be a canvas to every writer or artist. It is where their imagination and thoughts are being portrayed. I believe her works have hidden themes that could be personal. Nevertheless every viewer could explore the meaning of each artwork and I find her works pretty cool, fun and groovy. I am pleased to have seen some of her ingenuities as a young artist and I am proud to share some of her masterpiece with you...
