He got into his black sedan and started the ignition when his brother's face showed up at his open window.

"Bro! So, when are you going to settle down, huh?"

He has just opened his bar/restaurant that day, a business that he's dreamed of since he was a kid. And his brother who is a year younger than him flew in from the Philippines for the big event-- a realization of a dream.

"Come on, you got your dream right there," pointing to a signage in front of them. It's past two in the morning and all the visitors were gone. "Don't tell me you haven't got a girl since you left 'Pinas last year!"

"What if I say you're right?!" he said laughing. He shoved his brother's face from the window, "Now, get your fat ass inside the car now so we could go home. I'm tired and I still have to be here early tomorrow", he continued, "I mean, later."

His brother went in, buckled up, and held the steering wheel for a second and said, "Serious?! Come on. Let's talk about it."

His brother was drunk but he knows what he's saying. He won't stop talking until he said his point. There is no way he can ignore him now. Everyone in the family knew about his stupid decision last year, anyway, though they've given him full-support.

"You went back to the Philippines last year to find that girl whom you thought was your soulmate. You did not find her, obviously because you couldn't even remember her face!" his brother is serious. He knows how concern his brother is with his status. He is not getting any younger and all his siblings are married now.

"Emotion. You got stuck there. Can you just move on? Look around you. You have everything that you have dreamed of, well, except for that girl." he has finally let go of the steering wheel.

"Exactly, bro," he finally said, "everything except her," then he started driving.

The truth is, he hasn't forgotten about her. Let me rephrase that to he hasn't forgotten about that moment that she had with that one lady at the Philippine Centennial Airport. And every time he remembers the feeling that he had when their eyes met, it still makes him excited and hopeful that she could be the one.

"And you broke up with what's her name again? The girl you're with that time that you saw that soulmate of yours?" his brother asked, teasing.

"Wenna," he replied, "Well, it wasn't because of my illusion of a soulmate that I and Wenna have broken up, all right?"

"I know, bro. It's a good decision, believe me. You deserve someone better than Wenna. But still... come on! Wake up! As you said, your soulmate is just an illusion." his brother became serious again, "Do you want to talk to a shrink? How about a lady-shrink?"

"Hah-hah! Funny bro!" he said laughing. He doesn't need anyone to analyze him.

"I can fix you up with some girls, you know!" his brother is really unstoppable some times.

"You know that doesn't work for me, right?" he said smiling.

"I know, bro. Just trying to remind you here. Though we all know that you are capable of getting whatever you want in life. It's just that this time, I wanna bet that you're going to fail on your search for that girl," his brother said those words with a sigh.

"No betting, remember?"

"You really haven't changed, huh?"

"Nope! So, let's just drop the subject and move on."

"Move on. Say that again!"

Move on.

That night, the conversation with his brother has left him restless. It's true. He hasn't moved on and that experience of deja vu a year ago, with that girl that he knew he's never met before, still lingers. The memory of that has inspired him in some ways. And that instance has taught him to look into the eyes of every girl that he encounters. The past year he was searching and he is searching still. First the eyes, then the heart, and finally the soul. He knew she isn't perfect. In fact, he knew nothing about that girl except for one thing: she is the one.

Icebox. That's the name of his bar. And he has a reason for the name.

One soul. One heart. Trapped in an icebox.

The question remains, will they see each other again? Probably never... Probably again.
