I don't know what happened over the night but M was so clingy and a little hard-headed today (he kept on climbing at the stainless steel sink). We had our gym combo class, this morning, which we do every Tuesday from 9 to 10:30am. He didn't want to cooperate and join the activities. He just wanted to stay near me. Then he pulled my hair twice (ouch!) I had to show him I was mad at him and I told him that was a bad thing to do. During the arts class, he kept on messing with the stamp pad that we both had inks all over our arms (and some on my blouse). But I have to say he was good during story-telling and snack time and he helped me clean up the toys after playtime (he used to act up whenever they're taking away the toys). I thought of bringing him to the park to play on the slide after the class so he can have fresh air. He loved it. But I had to bring him home when he started ignoring me again (and started grabbing some kids' toy). I know he would soon learn to listen to me. I learned that he had a rough night last night. So that could be one of the reasons (the fact that he was constipated and has a little cold). He had his nap at 12:30pm when his usual was between 1 and 2pm. Not bad. But then when he heard his dad's voice in the other room he woke up. Crying. I went to his room to check on him. He was perspiring. I turned the AC down and changed his shirt to make him feel comfortable again. He cried for about 20minutes. When we went out of his room he wouldn't want me to leave him. I couldn't give him food. He just wouldn't eat. Then an angel came to my rescue. Linda and Alex knocked at our door. Mother and son (he's 14month-old). They are Korean. They invited us to join them in the playroom. You have to be a member of the gym to have the privilege to use the playroom. We're not members. M was still clingy but at least he stopped acting up when we were at the playroom. After that I brought M back to the apartment. He ate. Then I brought him back to the park and let him do the slide again. We stayed there for about an hour. He still wouldn't eat when we got home. But his dad fed him this "healthy" cookies and he had some spicy chicken after that. Then it was their turn with M. It was a tough day. But I am thankful that we both survived. I hope he sleeps tight tonight. I just couldn't stand seeing him miserable during the day. |
