My Traffic Life

I am Mae German. 34 years old. Born in Mangatarem, province of Pangasinan. I was taught and trained by Juan Dela Cruz, and I am currently being trained for more by Uncle Sam. Writing since the age of 12. Blogging since 2001. I keep a notebook and a pen in my bag, on my bedside table, and inside the bathroom. Misses a lot. Sometimes even my own voice. Loves to laugh. Sometimes even at myself. I am a work in progress. My ultimate dream is to be a SAHM. That is, if I am bound to have that chance in this lifetime... and I am.

My Traffic Rules

Don't take my words personally. At times, not even literally. This is my journal. You're my reader. My spectator. Applaud. Yawp. Yawn. Smile. Frown. Rave. Rant. Or not. Neither can I see you from where I am standing nor can I hear you.

This is not my life. Maybe just a part of it. But this is me meandering through life. My emotions fluctuate. My opinion varies. If it's too hot in here and you can't take it, leave. If it's dull and too cold, go somewhere else for warmth. I won't wipe the frown on your brow.

My stories, unless stated otherwise, are mostly fictional. Fiction could be based on reality. Still, they are fiction. Don't own it. Don't live in it. It is what it is. Leave it.

Watch out for the traffic light. Follow the rules. Cruise.

"In the american way, to be turned down is to be insulted and I don't like being turned down tsk tsk..."

"Maybe I won't invite you out again..."

"It's your call. I will have to respect that. But Thanks for the invite today."

"Accepting an invite shows the importance you afford to that person. Declining shows the opposite."

"Hmmm... importance? Will think about that. But I won't regret saying no today."

DUH! The American Way!
I could have said... In MY WAY, I don't care!
(ok, I don't want to be rude.. but then again.. DUH! talaga!)

maybe I told him he was nice.. but important? who told him that?
ok, maybe he is an important person to some people, but not to me.
And with that kind of thinking? Give me a break!

And this was just because I said,
"I don't want to go out tonight. I wanna rest."

And here's some more...

"You're invisible again. You are really an anti-social..." (referring to my YM setting)
"Hmmm... Maybe I am. Maybe I am not."
"If you say so..."

Let me ask you something, do I have to prove anything to you or to anyone else? I'm trying to be nice to you, you know.

Here's a piece for EVERYONE.
Even if I am an anti-social (base on some judgement)-- which I am not confirming nor denying, at least I don't have to push myself to do stuff just to please anyone. I do things that I like doing. If I want to mingle with people, I can do that. If I don't, well, say everything you want to say (that I am an anti-social, etc., etc.,) I don't care. I won't be budged.

Geez! One more and I'll ask you to forget about me. Save your soul, dude!
(what are you? a high schooler? you talk so much for a guy of your status! )

WHO ARE YOU, ANYWAY?
Have you even considered asking yourself if I like you? You see, I am not a rude person. If I am in the good mood to talk, I don't ignore people. But I could if you keep on crossing the line.

Well, the funny thing now is...
I am so proud of myself turning down tonight's invite. *wink*
