When it rains... it floods!
Saturday, 03 May 2008

Is summer time officially over? I guess it is.

I was all prepared for my games tonight. My plan was to attend an anticipated mass around 4:30pm at the Greenbelt chapel then be in Greenhills for my badminton games around 6pm. It's already past 6pm and I am still here inside my room. Stuck because of our flooded street. Gutter-high flood.

The rain poured at exactly 4pm. I was all ready to leave then.

"Lord, I'm giving You 15 minutes, after that stop the rain, ok? I have to attend the anticipated mass today. Plus, I should really play badminton today. I needed to burn some more calories. You saw my lunch today, right? And okay, fine... I miss the gang. May joke pa naman akong baon."

That was me, trying to entertain and console myself. I should have left earlier. When I heard the thunders I got my bag and headed to our door. Then before I was able to go out, there goes the hard rain.

God granted my prayer though. It only rained for about 15 minutes. I asked for 15 minutes to still give me ample travel time to the chapel. I guess I should have said, "Stop the rain, NOW!" instead of asking for 15 minutes. *sigh*

One should know what to wish for.

Hmmm... I think I can see a passable kerb now. *wink*
