Update!
Thursday, 10 September 2009

My focus is nowhere to be found lately but I'd say that I still have the momentum. I can't believe it's been almost a week since I have written something. It wasn't intentional. I have my nose on a lot of things, that is, of course, during the times when Grandma is asleep, which is, lately, seldom. Like today, she's awake practically the whole day. Poor Grandma. She needs to save her energy as she doesn't have much. She tries. But today it is to no avail.

People wonder how I could endure a day that would start at 5:20am and that would end at 11pm. People wonder how I could manage idle times without feeling bored or restless. Well, as they say, boredom is a failure of our own spirit and imagination. In my vocabulary, there's no such word as idle. Not even when I am staring at the window. Hah!

I am working on a tarpaulin for the past couple of days now. Working on a 4 feet by 9 feet file is no joke. (Thanks to Kaje for reminding me that I don't need a 300dpi for its actual size. But still, the actual size!). Nonetheless, GreenApple is still good working on it and my recent purchase for Rugged Ciela (a LaCie all-terrain hard drive) is worth it. It comes with FireWire 400/800 and USB cables. GreenApple and I could breathe. *phew!* I could still do my research and some random reading online (from some info about social security disability to neo cubes) while waiting for the rendering of my image. Plus, I read a book. Anything from their bookshelves.

I am on my tenth book now-- Three Cups of Tea (Greg Mortenson and David Oliver Relin). I have finally finished reading Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat, Pray, Love. The latter was a good read but it's one book that I wouldn't recommend to everyone. IMHO, it is not for everyone. Not especially for those who are narrow-minded and are "conservative". The book have received so much bad reviews from these kinds. Anyways, to each his own.

Speaking of books, my book from ArtsCow came in on Tuesday. I need more credits for the 8x8s if I want my own copy though. *haha!* It's not mine. I mean, it's my work but the book is not mine. It's a gift and I am mailing it soon.

I guess I have to stop here for now. Dinner will be served soon. And dinner is something that I am always looking forward to. Here. There. And Everywhere. *wink*

P.S.
I enjoyed my Spinach souffle with feta cheese at the Grand Central Terminal on Tuesday night. Popeye is so right about the spinach.
