What was supposed to be a whole-day trip became an overnight stay in Tagaytay City with some of the Kaladkarins...
Dada Glenn, Eli (Dada's nephew), Ate Shirley, Ria, and I, left Manila around 9am yesterday. We were supposed to leave around 6am but Dada Glenn woke up late (it's Ok, Dada. I just hope Eli's record of Reckless Driving and Color-coding will be settled soon as he will be driving for you most of the time).
The whole trip was fun. Expect us laughing non-stop when we're together. The only time that you'd hear silence is when Ria had to take a nap to prevent migraine from attacking or when Dada Glenn's doing his famous head-banging (he easily falls asleep, by the way).
Staying overnight wasn't in the plan as we were supposed to be in another get-together on Tuesday night. The Pandemonium band is playing for us again at a resto/bar somewhere in Katipunan and we told everyone that we'd be back from our Tagaytay trip by dinner time. But when we got there, we have welcomed the ideas of looking for a hotel (Taal Vista would cost around 8K so we ended up at Days Inn) and staying-in for the night as we wanted to check every spot in the cold city. That includes a visit to Caleruega church, photo ops in Taal Vista, two attempts to People's Park in the Sky (the first attempt was an almost-zero visibility), a visit to Mahogany Market, lunch at Leslie's, an attempt to get inside Picnic Grove (but it was raining), and a lot more.

We bought some food and drinks for the night. Scout the place for some stores that sell underwears and shirts, too. I had to buy extra socks as I can't have my feet bare at night (I still put my feet inside my pillow when sleeping, eh) and a fresh pair for the next day.
In the evening, Dada Glenn and Eli had the courage to dive into the pool while we were all enjoying the cold Cali shandy and San Miguel Lite/Strong Ice in can. You bet it was cold and we were the only one outside the hotel. LOL!
It was a fun trip. I had a great time bonding with Ate Shirley, Dada Glenn, Ria, and even Eli. I will miss them when I have to go back to my normal routine.
Thanks Dada Glenn for the Tagaytay slideshows.
