One, Manny Pacquiao defeated Oscar De La Hoya. Now there goes the last of the Mexican boxers (if I may say). ![]() Two, there was a light and brief snowfall when we were out today. I am not crying (someone asked me if I was) but I was overjoyed when I saw the grass covered with snow. Ooh! Crushed ice! Weeee! ![]() And three, which is the best part [photo from Amazon.com] : ![]() I received this laminated Rand McNally Notebook World and U.S. Map today (plus a keychain, an oval Brazilian Wood bracelet, and a card). Someone read my heart's simple desires lately. To LYN: Really now, how did you know that I wanted to have this kind of map?! I wonder, have you been looking into my wallet where a worn map is hiding? Yes, I have one in my wallet. It's a small map with very tiny texts and because it has been folded many times, some texts are missing now. But I keep it anyway. I take it out to check on the location of the states here in the US, followed by a voice in my head that would say, "Someday, I'll go and check out this place/state..." Again, to LYN, Thank You for the gifts (and the thought!), especially for the map. I will treasure it, believe me. You don't know how much I appreciate it-- but to give you an idea: it's going to be the last thing that I will be holding and staring at each night. Hmmm... there's a train going to Pennsylvania from New York, maybe I should start planning my trip to Ohio soon, huh? Libre mangarap, friend! But you know when my itch for travel starts, I might be on my train ride going to your state the next day. *Dear Santa...* Actually, I haven't really figured out how I'd get there via train ride and/or bus ride, but Virginia and Washington DC are waving at me these days... *wink* ![]() He will certainly direct my path... ![]() |
