My Traffic Life

I am Mae German. 34 years old. Born in Mangatarem, province of Pangasinan. I was taught and trained by Juan Dela Cruz, and I am currently being trained for more by Uncle Sam. Writing since the age of 12. Blogging since 2001. I keep a notebook and a pen in my bag, on my bedside table, and inside the bathroom. Misses a lot. Sometimes even my own voice. Loves to laugh. Sometimes even at myself. I am a work in progress. My ultimate dream is to be a SAHM. That is, if I am bound to have that chance in this lifetime... and I am.

My Traffic Rules

Don't take my words personally. At times, not even literally. This is my journal. You're my reader. My spectator. Applaud. Yawp. Yawn. Smile. Frown. Rave. Rant. Or not. Neither can I see you from where I am standing nor can I hear you.

This is not my life. Maybe just a part of it. But this is me meandering through life. My emotions fluctuate. My opinion varies. If it's too hot in here and you can't take it, leave. If it's dull and too cold, go somewhere else for warmth. I won't wipe the frown on your brow.

My stories, unless stated otherwise, are mostly fictional. Fiction could be based on reality. Still, they are fiction. Don't own it. Don't live in it. It is what it is. Leave it.

Watch out for the traffic light. Follow the rules. Cruise.

I know that this may trigger my photo-blogging addiction once again. I am actually planning to create another section/category for that but since the UST-EHS Alumni Homecoming will officially start tomorrow (the 15th) and a lot of people from the U.S. and Canada have arrived already, I can only afford to upload and do a short post lately.

My day started with a breakfast buffet at the Holiday Inn (Ortigas) with Ate Shirley (from batch 1975). I promised her that we'd talk before the event really starts since we have so much to catch up on the times that I was busy with work. Tay Ipe (from batch 1971) came around 11am and from then people started coming in. Mostly from batch '71, '73, and '75.

I was supposed to just rest at home. My original plan was to just have breakfast with Ate Shirley. I ended up staying for lunch (at Max's) and dinner (at Alex III). Quite an overload of people for someone who is always alone, like me. I hope I could associate their names with their faces the next couple of days that I'll be seeing them. I think we're expecting 300 pax.

Again, my original plan was to attend only on the last day: The Gala Night at the Crowne Plaza on Sunday. But I guess I'd help tomorrow for the opening (talk about getting involved again). It's fun and I am grabbing it before I open up to this project that has been knocking at my door for a week now. I guess I am giving myself another day off from thinking. *ahhh... life* Before I talk about any thing more than my Hotair Balloon weekend and the upcoming events, I am posting one from my shots using the Canon Powershot S1 IS:
