Although I haven't seen first-hand, their worst, I have heard a whole lot of it. They weren't tagged as the "Parola Boys" for nothing. Boy, I am glad I have known them just before I worked for the company.
From my first day at work, I felt safe with the thought that no one can bully me when they are around. They have become my friends, my brothers, my lunch-buddies-- me, being the only rose among the thorns-- maybe the reason why no one can ever come close to me in the office, the fact that I also have my own walls.
Then one by one they are leaving.
Although I am happy for them as they are moving on, I can't help but feel sad thinking that we will never be complete again during lunch time.
The guys who have shared with me some of their "katarantaduhan", their "kalokohan", their notorious side; the guys who have opened my eyes to the realities of manhood, the imperfection of marriage or any relationship at that, and of life; the guys who have somehow taught me to stay close and keep my distance; the guys who will shout your name and who will raise the scoreboard for every lady walking at the mall-- my head turns to the direction their heads turn now and I know what they mean when altogether they say with a maniac-grin, "Pwede!"
Don't get me wrong, they are a bunch of nice guys when you get to know them well. Each with unique and funny traits. They are some people that I will never regret knowing. Their lives, their stories, although I know just a little part of it, I could say, is much better than some people that I know of. They have earned my respect. I am fond of them.
Tho' JS and LS are still around, surely, I will miss seeing the group together. But I know it won't be long that I'll be seeing them again. Thank God for badminton, I'll see them in court!
To PL, Godspeed. Keep me posted on your revived love life, eh? *hehehe*
