Wow! I can't believe it's been almost a week since I have written something here or anywhere else. On-the-Job training is keeping me busy and it's good. The left and right hemispheres of my brain were being stretched and I got a hundred-dollar earning for this week for doing a brochure (I guess) in addition to my $35/month earning from my pseudo-writing job (no time for admin jobs for me lately). My bus fare for another week is covered again (thanks, too, Ricky for the extra Metrocard). Yeah... I'd like to keep a record of my humble beginnings here at Uncle Sam's. Someday, I will look back and laugh about it. Altho' I am laughing at it now, I know I'll take pride on these little things in days to come. I am proud because I have a very generous Provider. I am just actually squeezing-in this one during my tea-time and while waiting for my laundry. Divisoria.com's request is on hold since I have yet to modify some colors for the brochure that I did for 2 days (priorities, sensya na). We have to submit it for printing on Monday. It'll be my first brochure that would be printed out. I wish I could keep one for souvenir. *hehe* As the prayer goes, "Lord, in this time of crisis, grant me not the opportunities that would equal my skills and abilities, but let me acquire skills and abilities that would equal any opportunity that may come my way..." I am striking while (and where) the iron is hot. Grateful for the Light that guides my path. P.S. I can now hop from one bus to another here in Staten Island and I have finally tried walking from the bus stop going home. It's half-a-mile from Woolley Ave. (corner Victory Blvd.) going to Camp Regozo. A good 12-minute walk. Approximately 4 songs from Shuffy. Yey! I should try other routes soon! I'd like to try taking the NJT Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, by the way! I don't care where it goes. I can always go back to where it took off, right? I just have to make sure my card won't say, "empty" when I insert it into its slot, or that I don't run out of quarters in my purse (ey! I need dimes, too), or have Pammy display a low-bat signal (now, that's worse). When all else fails, I can walk. Right! Which direction should I take, eh? Follow the path of the train? *wehehe* Oppsss.. I think I heard the dryer. Laundry's done. That's my cue. It's past midnight here at Camp Regozo. Will be back to my base camp later in the afternoon. |
