Slacking Off
Thursday, 27 March 2008

Tatay's and Nanay's liempo, ginataang kalabasa, tofu with some greens, and mango-tomato-onion combo at lunch (at RSB's place in Sampaloc); Tokyo-Tokyo's red tea and Tropical Hut's tuna salad for snack (in Greenhills); Inasal's sizzling bangus, crispy crablets, petso, liver, and soup for dinner (at the Metrowalk); Cafe Breton's mango crepe, banana crepe, banana split, and a pot of green tea for dessert (at the Podium). Sprinkle it with some laughters and wits from five people (make that six), and that is yet another one happy day for me yesterday.

Obviously, I have been slacking off for the past few days (again, blame it all on the weather). I really can't concentrate. As much as possible, I don't want to move and if I move it will be just to take a shower then another and another. *Ugh* Scourging heat! I don't even want to wear a colored shirt. Bought two more white cotton shirts from Hang Ten last week. I gotta get some more white shirts.

Speaking of Hang Ten, I have to correct the info that I told RSB about this branded shirts. Contrary to what I thought it was, it is an American clothing brand not a Filipino. I thought I was supporting my country by buying from their line of clothings but I was wrong. I should stick to Bench then. No more buying of shirts from the American brand for me now. Not that I am being nationalistic or something. It is just that we're talking about cotton shirts here. I am not even picky on how cotton-soft the shirt is as long as they make me feel comfortable. My point is, if Bench shirts could give me the same comfort Hang Ten shirts could give me, then why not buy from Bench, right? It's helping your country in the tiniest way you can. Or so.

Guess what I am doing while typing this entry. I am downloading some free kit for digiscrapping! Thanks to Kaje for giving me the links and for the 101 for me. I've always wanted to try it (I need some more time though). I guess I'll get hooked up soon, eh? But first I have to finish my project and do some photo layouts for a friend to be able to submit the entries for this online magazine next week.

Oh! Did you know that the agency (for the bank) has called me again? They have told me the same thing that RE had told me when she asked me to call her again yesterday. They have pulled out my paper and they're now into re-hiring me. Thy will be done but if I can have one wish for my come-back to the corporate world, it is that I wish they won't ask me to report next week. How's the week after next week? Nothing much. It's just that I wanted to finish my project, the photo layouts, come up with my first digiscrap layout, shop some decent and comfortable working clothes (if I have a budget-- Dear Lord), and refresh my head on VB classic programming and Crystal Reports (prolly re-read some books). I promise I will be ready for the corporate world after next week. Uhh... well, it's just my wish. *wink*
