Really Catching Up On My Reading. |
|
Friday, 28 August 2009 |
Never in my life have I read eight books in less than two months.
- Marley and Me - John Grogan
- Dictation - Cynthia Ozick
- Joy School - Elizabeth Berg
- The New Yorkers - Cathleen Schine
- Having Our Say (The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years)
- The Sweet By and By - Todd Johnson
- Can't Wait To Get to Heaven - Fannie Flagg
- The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
And never in my entire life have I read a novel in less than seven hours. That's Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist this morning. I'm now on my ninth-- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Someone said she loved the book. So far I like it too, but I might take this one slow. I need to cross out some items on my to-do list. But yes, I have to keep a list of my reads. There's still a hundred more to go. The Bible and after Benjamin Franklin's, Thomas Edison's Biography are still my constant (paperless) companion.
Thank God I (still) have time to read (and hopefully, write).
