Really Catching Up On My Reading.
Friday, 28 August 2009

Never in my life have I read eight books in less than two months.
  1. Marley and Me - John Grogan
  2. Dictation -  Cynthia Ozick
  3. Joy School - Elizabeth Berg
  4. The New Yorkers - Cathleen Schine
  5. Having Our Say (The Delany Sisters' First 100 Years)
  6. The Sweet By and By - Todd Johnson
  7. Can't Wait To Get to Heaven - Fannie Flagg
  8. The Alchemist - Paulo Coelho
And never in my entire life have I read a novel in less than seven hours. That's Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist this morning. I'm now on my ninth-- Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert. Someone said she loved the book. So far I like it too, but I might take this one slow. I need to cross out some items on my to-do list. But yes, I have to keep a list of my reads. There's still a hundred more to go. The Bible and after Benjamin Franklin's, Thomas Edison's Biography are still my constant (paperless) companion.

Thank God I (still) have time to read (and hopefully, write).
