Prince charming don't come from toads...
Thursday, 29 January 2009

For years, I have been praying for my prince charming to come. The knight in shining armor for some.

I have kissed a few toads (punning!) hoping they'd turn into princes. After one or two (or more) failed attempts to end my stories with happy endings, I have given up on dreaming. One of my favorite books have hit it bulls-eye: They don't come from toads but from God.

So, a few years ago, I took my notebook and I must have written in there a long list of my ideal guy. I tore it and threw it away when I thought I have found the one. I did not stick to that prayer. I shaped the guy and tried to fit him in to my capsule-- the prayer.

I was wrong. I had my prayer and still, I did it on my own.

You'd probably ask the same question that my mom has thrown at me yesterday: Is someone courting you?

Never in my entire life that I have said these words to my mom: There is a dream of someone and I am praying for someone.

I am not going to give it all away here, but I am sharing with you the #1 on my prayer/list:
I am praying for someone who could pray with me each waking hour and at night.

Looking for a person whom you can talk to about anything under the sun is easy. There are lots of smart people out there. There are lots of wise men. But few are those who would allot time for prayers and devotions. Few are those who would grab your hand and say, "Hey! Let's pray together!". Few are those who'd pray before a meal.
I still believe in fairy tales, but this time I am waiting. Never again will I deviate from my prayer.

I may be asking for miracles with the rest of my list. But when you finally see me settling down with someone, maybe then you will believe: Miracles do happen for those who believe.

you're not alone..hehehehe..

just have faith that someday..somewhere..somehow..some one
is meant for each one of us..in this lifetime or the next :)

I do have a list and I'm even too proud to published them online hahahaha but what the heck.. dreaming is free, so dream the best dream that you want to have..we never know, someone indeed can make that dream..a dream no more but a reality :)

hi! I was just browsing the net for badminton schedules in SRBC and I happened to see that the owner is your friend. I'm starting to love playing badminton so i'm usually in SRBC Tues and Thurs night. Anyway, I will not comment on badminton but rather on this particular blog of yours. Just this morning, I suddenly stopped working (in my office), grab my pen and journal and started to write... "from today onwards, i will be praying for my future partner in life". I agree with you, Mr. Right only comes from God. He is what I call, my GB as in my God's Best and until now, I'm still waiting for him. hope you'll not get tired of waiting too because after all, TRUE LOVE WAITS. God Bless
