My job is like doing a work out. I carry more than 20lbs at times. Aside from that, I am doing a 5-lb weight twice or thrice a week, I do my stretching and some yoga exercises when I am bored, which is almost everyday. I walk at least 30 minutes every day, too. Where do I get my energy when I am not having enough sleep? Food. Food. And more food. Call these the best post workout supplements (well, for me, at least). But I cannot eat what I really want on weekdays because of the lack of time in cooking-- I wake up at 5 in the morning and goes to bed at 10 in the evening. This week, I have been dreaming of french fries (even getting some at a fast food chain is not possible), pasta, and real dishes such as beef steak, "igado" or the likes. That's when I promised myself to cook every weekend. This weekend, aroz caldo or gotto is lined up; roasted asparagus with fried eggs and parmesan; snow pea and radish salad; and potato salad with olive oil instead of mayonnaise (which I already did last night). I promised myself not to procrastinate, but well, I just did it, huh? Anyways, I'll get things done now. I am cooking "ginisang corned beef" for lunch; with potatoes and maybe snowpeas. The french fries? I might bake some potatoes and carrots then top them with cheese. |
