My Traffic Life

I am Mae German. 34 years old. Born in Mangatarem, province of Pangasinan. I was taught and trained by Juan Dela Cruz, and I am currently being trained for more by Uncle Sam. Writing since the age of 12. Blogging since 2001. I keep a notebook and a pen in my bag, on my bedside table, and inside the bathroom. Misses a lot. Sometimes even my own voice. Loves to laugh. Sometimes even at myself. I am a work in progress. My ultimate dream is to be a SAHM. That is, if I am bound to have that chance in this lifetime... and I am.

My Traffic Rules

Don't take my words personally. At times, not even literally. This is my journal. You're my reader. My spectator. Applaud. Yawp. Yawn. Smile. Frown. Rave. Rant. Or not. Neither can I see you from where I am standing nor can I hear you.

This is not my life. Maybe just a part of it. But this is me meandering through life. My emotions fluctuate. My opinion varies. If it's too hot in here and you can't take it, leave. If it's dull and too cold, go somewhere else for warmth. I won't wipe the frown on your brow.

My stories, unless stated otherwise, are mostly fictional. Fiction could be based on reality. Still, they are fiction. Don't own it. Don't live in it. It is what it is. Leave it.

Watch out for the traffic light. Follow the rules. Cruise.

Pammy is a Palm Centro. And it is but an ordinary smart phone until you got to know it a little bit more.

I became a fan of PDAs when I had Palm's first color PDA some time in the early 2000s, the Palm IIIc. Back then, I had to bring with me its bulky cradle so I can charge and sync it to my desktop in the office and at home. Now, thanks to bluetooth technology, my power bag (as FJ calls it) could leave another cable behind (Pammy's data cable).

What I miss about the old PDAs is the graffiti handwriting/alphabets. That's classic fun! PDAs have QWERTY keyboards now. Pammy's keys are too tiny for me though that's why I often use its stylus and touchscreen keyboard. It has a camera although it's only 1.3megapix, still it can serve its purpose. It has a microSD card slot, which can support up to 4GB microSD cards.

Now Pammy's got my old 1GB microSD filled with music and could still take in some few photos (now all I need is a pair of earphones for my playlist (it's got pTunes-- haha! Talk about originality and creativeness, eh?). Palm Centro comes with only one game, that's Sudoku. Now Pammy have Gem Heist-- a game like Bejeweled, an English dictionary and a Bible Reader from Olive Tree. All I need is to transfer my prayers from my notebook to Pammy (Father, I am not texting inside the church, I am praying! LOL!) and I'm almost a member of the paperless society (I don't think I could ever give up Keny and my pen though).

I couldn't really maximize Pammy's potential, especially its web-based features (I have GreenApple for that) but it's offering me so much more than I could imagine. It's a commuter's power tool. I should be downloading some free e-books soon. If you have some, share some! *wink*

Watched the West Side Story (by the Susan E. Wagner High School Theater Arts Players) last Friday in Staten Island, NY, where Bekah got the lead role (Maria). She was awesome! She could make it in real broadway, I say! Orchestra was good, too. Two thumbs up for the whole cast!
