"How much calories does a McDonald's cheeseburger has? How about fries and a large soda?", I asked KP as I know she has been counting her calorie-intake.
"Basta, if you have the cheeseburger-value-meal, that should be your meal for the whole day", she said.
"Don't you want ketchup on fries? How about mayo?", I asked DM who was having her plain fries.
"I love mayo and ketchup on my fries. But it's too much calories", she said. So she just watch me pour ketchup on my cheeseburger and fries then dive on my Vanilla sundae.
And these are my friends who love to eat, by the way. These are my friends who love to try new restaurants and new dishes. These are my friends who are always on a diet yet would be seen pigging-out. Pizza, pasta, grills, salad, coffee, chocolates, junkies... name it, we'll take them all. We'll do well in giving reviews on food and some restos, mind you. We just love to eat and exercise and eat some more.
Me? I listen to what they say. That cheeseburger and fries have high calories, so with ketchup and mayo, and junk foods, and soda. I read the labels, be surprised by the high-calorie food that I would be taking in, then after reading, I would munch still. And with just one call I am ready for a meal-adventure.
"Have you tried this new restaurant? Not yet? Ok. Be ready I'll pick you up."
Seldom that I say no even if it is in the middle of the night or so-early in the morning. Even if it is in a remote place or even if it's just the "magbabalot or magi-isaw sa kanto". Diet? I do it with no effort at all. You see, that's the good part in living alone (although technically, I have my landlady and my housemate with me). I don't feel eating alone. In the office, unless I like the company, I just sleep during lunch time. And seldom that you'd see me dining-in alone in a restaurant. I am not thin nor fat (although sometimes I feel like I'm bloated). I have gained weight the past months (there were lots in life to celebrate with good people and good food!) and felt like I'm a little over-weight for my height. But I am not fat nor could be considered a chubby. But I have to get back to my normal physique (and feelings). It's the new year, when else should be the best time to start, right? I did some research which I wanted to share to you (but I'm not sure I will do it myself coz some I find a little bit boring for me). Let me know if it'll work for you: - The No S-Diet - There are just three rules and one exception:
- No Snacks.
- No Sweets.
- No Seconds.
Except (sometimes) on days that starts with "S".
- Eat all you want from the 101 Fat-Burning Foods. - Well, I have no problem with this because it's eat-all-you-want.

- Low-Calorie diet DO NOT work - The Idiot-Proof Diet!
The Shifting Calories Theory... Your metabolism doesn't know how much food you'll eat tomorrow or the next day because those days have not happened yet. Therefore, your metabolism always burns calories based on your eating habits during the past few days -- because it assumes that you'll continue to eat in the same general way. Guess what? You're about to shock your metabolism by doing something you've never tried before -- you're going to do the OPPOSITE of what it expects you to do. You're going to NOT continue eating the same types of calories and meals for more than a couple days at a time, and you're going to lose a lot of weight by doing this. To make this work you need to SHIFT the types of calories eaten, and if you do this then your metabolism will burn all of the calories eaten. Then, when it finishes burning those calories it will find the nearest available fat tissue on your body and burn that too...
- Neoform - ask your friendly physician about this medicine of course. It's not really a diet-pill.
- Hot-tea - This I have been doing for the longest time. Not because I was on a diet but because I am a certified tea-lover. Hot tea is like water for me.
There were more options to choose from actually. To each his own. What may work for some may not work for the others.
Me? I will just do what I love doing: some games of badminton and a little of my Ashtanga Yoga. I love to sweat-out some of the small stuff sometimes, yah know? Reading the labels / nutrition facts at the back of every box of junkies is just one of my hobbies, which include eating.
