passport/visa [loading...]I was chatting with Ate Shirley around noontime and we were talking about how fast God answers a lot of our prayers lately. Like my employer was expecting that I'd have the interview in two months after giving me my case number, but I got interviewed in two weeks or so. Like I was expecting the delivery of my passport/visa in two weeks after my interview at the US Embassy, but I got it in a week. Then someone pressed the doorbell (well, it's more of a buzzer) right after we said goodbye.

It's the Delbros person! I got my passport/visa around 1 in the afternoon.

I was trying not to laugh while I was signing the paper that the guy has handed me but when I got back to my room I was already chuckling and saying, "Kaw talaga Lord, nakakatawa ka. You love surprising us. But really, thank you sssoo much."

Now what's the next step? I have no idea. *hehehe*

I was expecting to see the date when I am allowed to travel, it's not there. I was expecting to see a list of requirements (medical exams and their list of hospitals, etc.) inside the envelope but there's none inside except my passport with my visa on page 19. Right, why would they grant me a visa if they're not yet sure of my health status, right? That gives me the conclusion that this time, all will depend on my employer-- my date of travel and whatever stuff they'd require from me. We still have more than a week to meet before they leave for the U.S. on the 26th. I am not in a hurry. I know they came here for a vacation. Business will be attended to at the latter part of course.

I am just happy that things are slowly advancing. I am enjoying my pace. One step at a time. And having friends who supports me with every little step that I take makes the ride more fun and exciting. You don't know how much I am going to miss my life here with people like them. All right, this is not the time to talk about this. *wink*

A friend is curious how my mom is reacting to all these. Hereto give you an idea:

She wanted me to buy my winter clothes even before I was interviewed. She wanted me to quit working and buy the stuffs that I will be needing in the U.S.. She asked me if I could stop over San Francisco before heading to New Jersey so I could visit my relatives there (it's good she never thought about Utah, Florida, Texas, and Las Vegas). Couldn't find a map of the U.S. from any bookstore here (I really want one, ASAP!). *sigh* And last but not the least, she wanted me to call my employer NOW.

If you are not used to her, believe me you'd freak out. Well, let's just put it this way, it is her dream that I am fulfilling here and fulfilling that dream is just one of my dreams. With that, we get along. Everyone's grateful, happy and excited if I may say. Cool
