Not where we are...
Saturday, 27 June 2009

"In New York, people think nobody cares anymore. But look at that lady. She's just waiting for her train ride and she did what she can to help the man..."
says a black lady sitting next to me at the NY Pennsylvania station last Thursday, when a man had a seizure.

Just a few weeks ago, a grandma at the NY Presbyterian Hospital said the opposite of those words.

Do we lose hope as we grow older?
Should we cease believing that no matter how bad a place is, good people still exist?

The world may be in chaos, but my answer is No.

It is not where we are; it is who we are wherever we are.
