The weather is getting erratic now that Springtime is here. The temperature would rise to the 60s one day and the next day it could drop to the 40s. The sun will be out shining so bright one day; the next day it will be hiding behind gray clouds; Then here comes the rain. I ended up catching colds last week. By Friday, two of us were down (I have been coughing a little now). This usually happens; when one of us has colds, the other one gets it, too. Only this time, I was down with one first. Prior to Monday (today), I was told that I don't need to report to work on Thursday and Friday. They've made plans. It's fine. Although I won't get paid, I can only look at the brighter side of things. I can start working on some of my personal tasks and a pending project. I need to start working on the invitations for J's Christening. God knows the impact of a 2-day pay for me as a taxpayer. On Sunday, I was told that I need to work at the animal hospital (I was supposed to be off). Good, it's a small amount compared to my weekday-pay but it's good. But on Sunday afternoon, I was told not to report for work on Monday (today) because M is really sick. The grannys will take care of him in NJ. Obviously, that leaves me with a 2-day pay this week. I am just catching up on my reading and resting, hoping tomorrow my colds and this small coughing are gone; and of course, praying that M is all well then, too. Life should go on. |
