Hhhmmm... let me wear my bronze shoes tonight and use my girlie-bag instead of my fave backpack...
Mobile phones. Check. Hair doctor. Check. Hand sanitizer. Check. Oil-control film. Check. Loose powder. Check. Lip Gloss. Check. Dental floss. Check. Tissue. Check. Cologne. Check. Wallet. Check. Wait... I'll keep a 20-peso bill in my pocket now for my tricycle fare... "What else?", I asked myself as I check my small bag. "Oh! The keys!", as I went to my door to get it. I don't usually leave my bedroom's door open and I usually leave my keys hanging on its keyhole when I am in the house. "Ok. I think that's all I need for the night," I told myself. So I put my shoes on, closed the applications on my PC (as I was working on something), said goodbye to MG on YM, chat a little with EC and before I said goodbye to him and turn my PC off, I decided to go out of my room and check my attire in the huge mirror in the kitchen. "Ok, Mirror, I think I'm good. Let me just go back to my room get my bag, end my chat with EC, turn off my PC and leave..."
"Ok, Door, where's my key?" "Shoot! I've already put it inside my bag!" "Ok, Mae, don't panic. Call someone. The fire station! No! The police station!" "Sh*t! I have my mobile phones inside my bag! My landline phone is inside my room! I haven't ended my chat with EC and probably left him hanging somewhere in our conversation, and I haven't turned off my PC and my electric fans!"
"Ok, Mae. Breathe! Think!"
"BS is waiting for me in her office! What's her number? I don't know her number. I don't know anyone's number!" "Wait. Let me check my books, there could be a possibility that I have listed any phone numbers there." "Nothing." "Hmmm... what should I do?"
*Ding!* Finally, an idea! "Find some paper clips or hair pins, Mae! Try the plastic bags on the table!" "Ok, there are two paper clips. What now? Oh! Remember how a burglar would unlock the doors using two paper clips? You can do it, Mae! Go! Now! Do it!" I failed. "Ok, Mae, next step. Find some calling cards from the pile of plastic bags and papers on the table. There might be a possibility that DV or Tita IV had left their calling cards there." "Bingo! Here's Tita IV's calling card! Where do I make the call?" I ran to DV's room hoping it's not locked. I tried to push the door and viola! It's open! So there, I called Tita IV's number, told her about my situation. She said she'd call DV to ask her what time she is coming home, then she'd call me back. "DV have classes tonight," she said. I have two options. One, to stay with Zoey (prolly play some tricks with her) until DV or Tita IV gets home (which will be late in the evening). Two, go out and meet with BS. "Oh no! BS! She is waiting for me! I have got to find a way to talk to her!" DV's computer!
I tried to turn it on, praying that her internet connection is working. It did. And I was glad MG was still online. I got BS' number and called her. She said I could just ask the receptionist in the lobby to call her in her office once I get there. Solved! But those were just two scenarios solved. I have another one: I only have 20 pesos in my pocket. To get to her office, I would need at least Php22.50. "Dear Lord, let me find some coins somewhere in the house. Please..."
God is good. First, I saw two 25-cents, "Ok, take it Mae!" Then a 1-peso coin. Then another two 25-cents. And finally a 1-peso coin. "Alright! I have 23-pesos now! This will be enough if I just take the jeepney instead of taking the bus!' So there. Too afraid to lose the money in my pocket, I paid the tricycle driver at once. Then I held on to the rest of my money, made sure that the remaining coins won't fall from my pocket. I was able to get to BS safe with extra 50-cents in my pocket. I never left BS out of my sight the rest of the night... And yes, I'm safely home now. Back inside my room. Mobile says: "4 messages" Sorry for the late (and now useless) reply, guys. I swear I will make a duplicate of my keys soon and leave some coins outside at any time! HAPPY WEEKEND! It's already Saturday, so, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mikaela!
