My Traffic Life

I am Mae German. 34 years old. Born in Mangatarem, province of Pangasinan. I was taught and trained by Juan Dela Cruz, and I am currently being trained for more by Uncle Sam. Writing since the age of 12. Blogging since 2001. I keep a notebook and a pen in my bag, on my bedside table, and inside the bathroom. Misses a lot. Sometimes even my own voice. Loves to laugh. Sometimes even at myself. I am a work in progress. My ultimate dream is to be a SAHM. That is, if I am bound to have that chance in this lifetime... and I am.

My Traffic Rules

Don't take my words personally. At times, not even literally. This is my journal. You're my reader. My spectator. Applaud. Yawp. Yawn. Smile. Frown. Rave. Rant. Or not. Neither can I see you from where I am standing nor can I hear you.

This is not my life. Maybe just a part of it. But this is me meandering through life. My emotions fluctuate. My opinion varies. If it's too hot in here and you can't take it, leave. If it's dull and too cold, go somewhere else for warmth. I won't wipe the frown on your brow.

My stories, unless stated otherwise, are mostly fictional. Fiction could be based on reality. Still, they are fiction. Don't own it. Don't live in it. It is what it is. Leave it.

Watch out for the traffic light. Follow the rules. Cruise.

Send a Gift

First, I left my keys inside my room, then three weeks ago, a visitor was locked inside our comfort room (the door was jammed). It was a miracle that the door was unlocked after many tries. A few days after that, I went out and I accidentally double-locked my bedroom door. Mamang Karpentero had to remove my window and climbed to get inside my room to unlock it.

On these instances I was lucky I wasn't behind the jammed door. I was never locked inside our comfort room and I was a jinx in my bedroom door (twice) but it was when I am about to leave for somewhere (at least I am all set to leave).

Today my fate was different.

We're not supposed to push the door of our comfort room so hard because the lock was already jammed but I was lousy today that I unintentionally kicked the door while I was inside. "Uh-ohhh... D, I locked myself inside!!!", was all I can say (errrr shout I mean).

I was inside for what seemed like forever. I was already getting suffocated after trying to turn the doorknob. D gave me a knife to just kill myself *kidding*-- it was to try to push the jammed lock but to no avail. I am lucky tho' because the caretaker has scheduled a maintenance check on us and she's with Mamang Karpentero again when I was in dilemma.

They tried pushing the door and turning the doorknob from the outside handle. In the end they cut some part of the door's frame and got me out just in time before I ask for an oxygen tank (I am exaggerating).

You see, my life is full of (mis)adventures even when I haven't seen the sun in 2 days nor I have set my foot on the ground.
