We don't really celebrate the Halloween in the Philippines. Instead, we visit our dearly departed at the memorial park, light some candles (and make balls out of the melted ones-- I love doing that as a kid), and offer some prayers and a mass for some.
Well, last night wasn't just my first Halloween. It was my first time to go trick-or-treating in the mall and around the block with the kids. And first time in thirty years, if not mistaken, that I missed spending "undas" in my hometown.
I (had) always wanted to do that -- miss my yearly routine, I mean. Uhmm... I guess I am going to miss a lot of "I used to(s)" from now on, and I am up to make new ones and get used to it. Yey!

just a word of caution, kapatid. just please dont forget the true meaning of all saints day and all souls day. i apologize for sounding so preachy. just got that from the priest last sunday. lagi daw kasi tayong lost sa tunay na kahulugan ng mga holy days natin. ;-)
