Patience is a virtue that I never thought I have.

There are just some things that you can do nothing about. Like when my previous agent gave me the word that I can withdraw from my ATM today (as I am leaving for some place where ATMs are not that accessible), to find out that they sent me a check (which means I have to wait for three working days before it's cleared). Like Ynzal gave me the word that my apple pie will arrive today and that I could pick it up tomorrow, only to find out at the end of the day that the person in-charged of the shipment was on-leave and will be back on the 3rd of January.

The cash, I have no problem right now, but my excitement for my  apple pie has dried out and now I have to console myself with the clichè: "everything happens for a reason". 

The truth is, the delay has caused me one project already (and if you are in I.T., Time is gold-- you know how much a project costs and how it means to have it done on time). But I had my choice. I let that project go hoping that I will be all set for another first thing in January. *sigh*

I know some people are also waiting in anticipation for my apple pie. But I have to, yet again, accept that I can't have it yet. *sigh again*

"You should give me some freebies, you know. The delay is too much." 

"How about a glass of iced tea, Ma'am? hehehe. Just kidding. Hmmm.. how about we give you a keyboard cover ?"

"Naahh.. how about a sleeve ?" 

It'll be cool if they'd give me some freebies other than iced tea!   Hmmmm... how about an i-rock? Or speaker? A cushtop? Oh, I'd love a 4-port hub! Or a Samsonite laptop-sport bag! Fine! I'm dreaming. Time to wake up and face the fact that I still won't have my apple pie on New Year.
