I had to be with Grandma in the morning of Monday. My plan for my days off was to stay put and finish working on another invitation the rest of the week. We're targeting October 31 for the final distribution but the venue was settled on Monday night when I was already on my back-up plan for my days off. Well, I think, I have spent a total of one day hopping from one bus to another, one train to another, and one house to another. Why not stick to one trip and do the other next time? Well, I may not have another time. Don't freak out! This is just me trying to do everything that can be done on my free time. As much as it is good for me to be busy, I needed an ice breaker sometimes. And I had to grab that chance before I dive into some tasks, activities, and fun events the next couple of weeks (let my skin stop breaking out from the lack of sleep, I don't have time to shop for a good acne treatment lately). Anyhow, as I have said, I've spent some time with a few good souls on my days off in Flushing and Long Island (NY). That was my back-up plan when I did not receive the information that I needed for the things that I had to work on (I know I should catch up on my sleep, Ma!). And it went well. Monday night I was in Great Neck (before that, I had dinner with Barney in Flushing, NY), Tuesday, I was in Central Islip where I had dinner with Kuya Cris and Ate Pam. As much as I wanted to stay longer in each place, I only have limited opportunity. We all have limited time. Nevertheless, I would say we all had some quality time together. Finally held a guitar again (thanks to Barney) and learned, too, that Kuya Cris is into it. Now all I need is time to (re)learn how to play that instrument again. And I have no time... Oh well, there are things that we just have to put up with; like ending this post this way: I may do the trip again. Only question is, when? |
