Me and my niece? We (still) walk in going to the church (when my SIL has to work or whenever she just came from work the night before Sunday). Well, we'd both try to run if we couldn't stand the cold breeze. Or jog. I wonder how we (or I) would survive when winter really comes. I couldn't drive around here yet. I have to take MVC's computerized exam again as I failed the first time (state laws! *grrr*). I wish they have sample questionnaires on this website but all they have is a traffic and road sign test. Nothing about state laws or regulations. Ugh! I was so confident that I knew everything when I took the exam for the first time! I perfected the website's five set of exams already-- not expecting that only a couple of road signs would be asked during the exam. *heh-heh* I hated myself after that day and swore I won't go back for the next "try" until I am fully prepared. (So help me, God.). And I wish I am now. I didn't really take the manual seriously until I was done with the exam. So that's what people have been trying to warn me about even when I was still in the Philippines, eh? -- that everything is by the book at Uncle Sam's and they all have every law there is and every kind of insurance here (I am sure they even have every kind of attorneys here-- even motorcycle accident attorneys). Ahh... Maybe soon my niece would stop suggesting that we jump over the neighbor's fences for a short cut going to the church. And maybe I would stop wishing we could possibly do that. ![]() |
