I miss the outdoors here (Boy, am I missing a lot lately, eh?!). And by that, I meant, I miss doing some yard works like mowing the lawn, raking dry leaves, shoveling snow, hammering some nails on some logs, whatever. I even miss walking on the grass. I tried yesterday since the temperature outside was around 50 degrees F and the sun was up but I was laughing at myself when I was tip-toe-ing on the lawn, pushing the lawn-cart that I have filled with small pieces of cement. There were Canadian Bird poops everywhere! I was imagining myself as an old lady with a cart and tip-toe-ing or a person in a war zone, watching her every step so not to step on a land mine or else... *ka-boom!* I have missed shoveling the snow last week because we got hard ice due to the rain. This morning, I was so looking forward to doing that since the weather news last night says it's going to snow today. And my excitement was the culprit on my lack of sleep last night, only to wake up and realize that the flurries haven't stopped yet (I wonder if I should shovel then, I mean, I can if I want to, but should I?). *sigh* Ahh.. winter! It still amazes me but I miss the groundhogs and the squirrels already! So like the groundhogs I was sluggish the past week. Hundred percent, I have gained a few pounds again with all the chips and chocolates that I have been munching on over a few DVDs-- West Side Story (Rebekah got the lead role on their school musicale come April! She was kind enough to lend me her DVD copy even though she hasn't really finished watching it), The Return of the Secaucus 7 (it was a classic story), and some episodes of Friends that I was able to download. Today, it's going to be A River Runs Through It (I think it's another classic, altho' it's from the 90s). Yeah, I have been browsing through my Kuya's DVD collection at the basement lately. The rest of the day, I'll just browse on some job sites, read something about key man life insurance, write something else, and try to cook Tinola (yey!). Oh! And wait for the flurries to stop so I can go out and shovel. *heh-heh* I have to update my uncle in Utah, too, since they wanted to know if I could join them in their Las Vegas trip on the 12th. It's Tuesday, and I haven't got any update from my employer. Clock is ticking... I have got to make a decision soon. But well, just like any other night, I have said my prayers last night. Ey! Who wants tortang sibuyas (onion omelette)? I was dreaming about it last night so I decided to cook some this morning. ![]() |
