I slept before 5am today as I had to reply to my client's inquiry via email, finish a quotation for my next project, and blog a little. I remember setting my alarm clock to 7:30am as I have to be in UST around 10am. I remember waking up when I heard my alarm go off but the next thing I knew was waking up and realizing it's already 10:30am. I snoozed for 3 hours. *geez*

Since I was late for the mass and for the registration, I decided to take my time and go to UST around 12noon instead. I was supposed to meet Ta Pi to help her but I ended up running into Tita Ruby (batch '73). It's actually our second time to meet and our first time to have a real talk. She's told me about how her high school life was. That she's never eaten in a cafeteria in high school (nor in college), the reason why she was asking if we could eat in a cafeteria. But there was no cafeteria in the Main building so we ended up having lunch at Friomixx afterwhich we went straight to Beato Angelico Building where the first-day event will be held.

I was handed a Nikon D50 to use while I was there. Yey! "At least I have a purpose being there," I said. Plus, it'll be so much fun taking pictures with a Nikon D50 with a 50mm and/or 55-200mm lens! Had no manuals to read so I just point and shoot, tried playing on the menu, and asked their hired photographer on something that I can't figure out on the camera's setting (fortunately, he was using a Nikon camera too).

Yup! I fell more in wuvvv with DSLRs today! Thanks to Tay Ipe for letting me use it. Will download my shots tomorrow and see how my first D50 shots were altho' it was set on Panic-mode the whole time and I did not use any flash and I was asked to change the lens to 200mm on most of my shots (ISO was set to 1600).

My fave shots would be the ones I took when the Pandemonium band was playing and the ones with the lady from the oldest batch (I think she was from batch '56) was having her speech.

Tomorrow will be another day. I wish to have a get-together with D50, hopefully use the Manual-mode this time (or maybe I could try someone else's camera again LOL!). This time, natural light will be adequate as we will be going to La Mesa Ecopark in Hawaian inspired outfit. Yey! I better be up really early!

Had a fun night with BS, too. We watched My Bestfriend's Girlfriend at the Greenhills Theatermall after she helped me pick up my tops for the gala night (Sunday). Had some caesar salad and Shrimp Fra Diablo (pasta) at Italiannis then coffee (for BS) and green tea for me at Starbucks while waiting for JS.

Such a fun day really. I was actually given two option today. One was to sleep all day (and prolly embrace depression) and the other one was to drag myself to go out and join the fun. I am glad I chose the latter (as I always do) because at the end of the day, my spirit was lifted and cobwebs were lessened.
