It's My Birthday!
Thursday, 28 February 2008

It is NOT. My birthday is in November but February felt more like it.

Aside from being able to join the UST-EHS 2008 Grand Reunion, to my trips to Tagaytay and Baguio City, I got GreenApple's Samsonite Interchange Backpack and Incase Neoprene sleeve, vitamins, strawberries, and chocolates. I got another cuff watch, a necklace, shirt, a satin blouse (with slacks too), a nice XOXO sleeveless tops, a pair of shoes, a set of Vidal Sassoon heated rollers, and a lot more.

Today, I thought, would be an ordinary day. I checked my cabinet for some shoes that I am no longer using (some I've only used once-- girls!), took them out and ready them for disposal (prolly pass them to someone in need). Cleaned my room and decided whom to give my old PC. That's been settled. But first, I need to back-up my files.

LG (loading...)My plan was to borrow a DVD-writer so I could put everything in DVD (even though I don't trust this media as much as I trust hard drives).

At 6:30pm today, I received a message from Dada Glenn. He's in Makati and he's brought the DVD-writer that I could use for my PC. He said I could meet him at Masas resto in Greenbelt 2 at 7pm.

So off I went to Greenbelt and was surprised to see the core group for this year's alumni homecoming. Most of them (those who came from abroad) will be leaving this weekend. They had to settle some matters like who's carrying the souvenirs for the people abroad, the t-shirts, and all. I wasn't part of the core group so after taking some of their pictures, I silently excused myself and sat with Papa Jimini, Eli (and his friend), and Dan (Tito Gil's son)--- it's hard to argue with these bunch-of-guys and boy was I glad when the core group asked me to join them for awhile. LOL! Just kiddin' boys!

"As a token of our appreciation..."

Uh-ohhh. Not those words puhllezzzz.... I hope no one noticed how my ears turned red & hot when I heard what they had to say. They're giving me the LG 18x External Super Multi DVD Rewriter-- the one that saved our Day 3. OA na kung OA but I really felt crying when they were telling me why they're giving me a token of appreciation. I am sorry but I really suck in taking-in so much compliment.

The truth is, just seeing everyone get-together, and just seeing how the yahoogroup that I created a few years ago has served its purpose, is enough for me. I never expected that it will grow nor I expected this year's huge gathering. I actually, should thank everyone for at least I can say now that, all the while, my existence had a purpose--- even if it was a tiny one.

I am grateful not just for the gifts but more for having a simple life so blessed with great (can I say funny, too?!) yet so humble people.

It's not my birthday pero daig ko pa ang may birthday, eh! LOL! Cool Treat ko kayo when I get a real job. WAHAHA!
