What is your chance in playing a pop song on your iPod then hearing the same song on the radio inside an Indian store that you just got in? Probably nine out of ten. Or ten, maybe? But a Christian song? We don't get that music much around here, or anywhere at that. Imagine my surprise when I entered this one shop in Metuchen, NJ that is owned by an Indian guy. I was trying to look for some materials for the invitation that we're making for the newborn. I knew I turned off my music before I entered so when I heard that the same song was being played, I checked again. Shuffy, my iShuffle, was off. And they're playing the song as if in continuance to my current playlist. Indescribable. That was the title of the song, sung by Chris Tomlin. Here's the lyrics: From the highest of heights to the depths of the sea
Creation's revealing Your majesty From the colors of fall to the fragrance of spring Every creature unique in the song that it sings All exclaiming Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name. You are amazing God All powerful, untameable, Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim You are amazing God Who has told every lightning bolt where it should go Or seen heavenly storehouses laden with snow Who imagined the sun and gives source to its light Yet conceals it to bring us the coolness of night None can fathom Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name. You are amazing God All powerful, untameable, Awestruck we fall to our knees as we humbly proclaim You are amazing God Indescribable, uncontainable, You placed the stars in the sky and You know them by name. You are amazing God Incomparable, unchangeable You see the depths of my heart and You love me the same You are amazing God You are amazing God Amazing God, indeed. That's all I can say when I left that shop that day. Kewl! ![]() |
