We recently bought a humidifier for the room and a petite dehumidifier for the bathroom. It's the cold season once again (ah! how time flies!) and the heater is mostly turned on. Most of the time, I find my nose dry and sometimes there's blood because of the dryness of the air (due to the heat). So I decided to get the humidifier which I put some drops of Vicks. Its actually helping. Only, the humidifier that we got would sometimes spill on the floor when we move it. Wrong choice but well, we just have to be careful now and be used to it. As long as it is helping... In the case of the petite dehumidifier, I decided to get one (the bigger one is way too much my budget) when I saw a lot of molds and mildews on my wooded tray where I put my stuff and the windows. It gave me goosebumps and I wanted to stop breathing (really!). I don't think bathroom fans could help in solving our problem so I got the dehumidifier. And because it is so little, it wouldn't really work without the help of the small portable heater that a friend has lent us. Heat is required for evaporation. The dehumidifier is doing its wonder now. Little by little. I also bought a chemical spray to get rid of those nasty molds and mildew. It's a clean start for our bathroom. |
