Raz, my Motorola phone, gave up on me a few days before my flight. Once again I was a victim of my (too-much) dependency on my gadgets. Gone were all my contacts. Please bear with me when I keep on texting back, "Hu u?" everytime I receive a message on Eywan-Kenopi (my old Panasonic A100, a key-chain-like basic phone), which I thought was long-dead until I tried to leave it charging overnight out of the blue. Although its keys are hard to press and it looks like a Tamagochi toy, Eywan-Kenopi is alive and ready to serve its master again! I was tempted to get another phone. A friend planned to give me one as a gift as well. But all the thoughts, I brushed aside. As much as I need one to get by when I arrive at the foreign land, I don't think I would really need another fancy phone. Maybe in the near future, I will get one. But right now? I don't think so. Unless my youngest bro gives me Kiano (the Nokia phone that he's lent me for over a year so I could use it for my internet connection), I would accept it with all my heart. Kiano has most (if not all) of my contact numbers but I can't transfer it to Eywan-Kenopi as Eywan Kenopi doesn't have a bluetooth nor IR nor a memory card. Eywan-Kenopi is a very basic phone but it will help me get by in the meantime. Okay lang si Eywan-Kenopi. La naman na ako mga ka-text eh. Mahal na rin ang pag-textback ko. As long as I have Eywan-Kenopi, rest assured, my friends' messages won't get ignored. You just have to reveal yourself. *wink* |
