Go Green, Earthlings!
Thursday, 13 November 2008

Okay, green could be the color of hate for some people. For some, it could be the color of envy or jealousy. Well, neither, is how I look at green as.

Green has been (and always, will be) my favorite color (ey! my SIL just bought me a new pair of green pajamas! Gracias! I wuvv the material and of course, the color!), and one of my favorite kiddie songs is Kermit's own song (I have it in my Friendster's playlist for a long time already):

It's not that easy being green- Kermit the Frog

Having to spend each day the color of the leaves
When I think it could be nicer being red, or yellow or gold
Or something much more colorful like that

It's not easy being green
It seems you blend in with so many other ordinary things
And people tend to pass you over 'cause you're
Not standing out like flashy sparkles in the water
Or stars in the sky

But green's the color of Spring
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean, or important
Like a mountain, or tall like a tree

When green is all there is to be
It could make you wonder why, but why wonder why
Wonder, I am green and it'll do fine, it's beautiful
And I think it's what I want to be

Green is the color of nature. I am in love with nature. I could hug nature! Cry with it, laugh with it, or even hum with it. Maybe the reason why I am so happy working in the backyard even if it's freezing cold outside. I like the smell of fresh grass (not the weed-grass stuff that some people know, eh?!) and of leaves slowly drying up in the fall. I will support anything that will preserve the love of my life!

Lately, I have been seeing a lot of Go Green signs and logos in most of the products. I read that even exit signs are going green and I am happy to see more in some food packages as well as some beverages. Yey!

Yes, indweller of this planet Earth, let's go green, ayt?!
