Fun with Kenz.
Monday, 20 December 2010

"Can we do an ornament, Mae?" Kenz, a six-year old girl, who goes to the animal hospital one Sunday each month, asked me last time. We usually do paper dolls, paper boats, paper airplanes, paper hats... anything that I have learned as a kid, we're doing it together. Personal Creations. Let's call it that. I wish I know how to do origami. I downloaded some tutorials but the past weeks, I don't really have the time to practice the art for her.

When she asked me to do an ornament with her, I made her a lantern. She like everything that we do together. At the end of the day, I make her a paper bag, and we draw clouds, flowers, balloons, and rainbows on it. Then we put the stuff that we did the whole day in it. Garbage for some, but for kids her age, they are her treasure found in a day.
