I was MIA. I know!  It's getting colder in NJ so we thought of migrating! Just kiddin'!  Before 4pm on Thursday, before the sun set in NJ, we drove and left the place.  My Kuya drove...  as this little lady sleeps...  and sleeps some more.  She couldn't take the songs that has been playing on the car's stereo over and over again. The Beatles! and it's a long-drive, by the way!  Uhh.. we forgot to bring some CDs (thank God she's got her iPod!).  And me? Well, I took pictures.   Of the tunnel. Of the road.    Of the sky. Of the trees and of some more road. Believe me, we did everything we could to be entertained!    We ate... and ate... and ate some more...  as the GPS guided us to our first destination (GPS had no idea what part of Lakeland we're going! Argh!).  And yes we stopped by the restrooms to pee every time we needed to gas up. These and more has happened the past couple of days... ******* I spent my first Thanksgiving at Uncle Sam's on the road. We were on a long-drive to Florida on Thursday afternoon. After 6 or 7 hours of driving, rest was done at the Holiday Inn Express in North Carolina. Then it was another 10- or 11-hour drive to our destination. Delaware. Maryland. Washington DC. Virginia. North Carolina. South Carolina. Georgia. For 18 to 19 hours, my Kuya drove for us to get to Florida. The farthest state I have been to as of today.  Once again, we were reunited with some cousins in Lakeland and Orlando, whom I haven't seen in a long time. Finally seeing their own families (some, for the first time). Fun times. I wish I could do it again. The kids, they're growing faster than I thought. I can't stay longer in front of GreenApple tonight. I still have to read something about mortgage protection insurance but the sack is grabbing me by the hand now. *zzzZZZ...* Anyway, I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving...  |
