Forcing the spirit of Christmas.
Saturday, 12 December 2009

I am not going anywhere this holiday season hence there's no need for the cross country movers. But before the holidays are over again, I know I have to see some places in Manhattan, like the Rockefeller Center. I just know I had to do it if I don't want to miss seeing it this year (I missed it on my first Christmas here at Uncle Sam's). So although I know the tree will be much prettier at night, I took the courage to gear up for the below-freezing-point cold weather and asked to be dropped off at the train station going to Manhattan (and to be fetched later in the evening) where Carlos and I met up after his work. I had to literally grab him by the hand so we'd walk a few blocks going there (yeah, with grumbling tummies, we went there). Took some photos and walked down to 31st Street to hear our second mass together at the St. Francis of Assisi.

The night was capped off with a bottle of beer. Carlos and his brother, Mon, had to leave me in CT. I have work today.

People keep counting the days before Christmas. I still don't feel it, no matter how I try. Ahh... Sad! This is not so me!

This. Is. NOT. So. ME!
