There is no internet connection in GNAH since Friday night. Well, if it is the ecg machine that is not working, I bet, that same day, they would have fixed it. Wait, do we have an ecg machine?
Anyways, Thursday was a toxic day for me. I was shocked on Wednesday night when I was told that I had to come in at 7am the next day (that is, Thursday). A man is supposed to work from 8 to 5 or 6 (morning or evening, depending on the shift), not be home only from 8 to 5. That is exactly what happened to me that day. I got home at 8 in the evening on Wednesday then I was asked to come in at 7am the next day. I allot 2-hour travel time (just in case the subways have delays). Normally, I wouldn't rant. But I haven't recovered from the day-and-night shifts that I had a few days ago and I was hoping I could sleep longer that night. Anyways, I am being compensated with few more days off next week so I shouldn't complain. I shouldn't. I know. But I am just human. My body is tired. Everyone needs rest.
Thursday, I worked for 13 hours. And I prayed that He gives me the strength that I needed for one more day.
Friday was better. I was asked to come in late and they let me go so early. I was able to buy some more gifts and the best part was, I had dinner with Ruby at Bon Chon (E 33rd St at 5th Ave).
