Flurries, they melt in my hand.
Tuesday, 28 October 2008

I woke up a little past ten in the morning, ignored the rain outside, went to have my usual breakfast, sat on the couch, watch the tube while sipping a cup of my freshly brewed coffee, when the view outside caught my attention. Woah! That's hard rain, I told myself. It's been raining the whole night. I watched the rain some more and finally realized that it wasn't just the usual rain. Never saw thick drops of rain my whole life. It's snowing outside! Flurries as my SIL described. They melt as soon as they touch the ground. My brother tried to take some photos but I don't think we got one decent shot of it. I went outside and tried to catch and feel some on the palm of my hands-- smoothies! It melts in my hand.

Snow in Fall, eh? Residents in the area have never seen it snow so early in a year. Am I lucky to see it snow this early or what?

Weather forecast says it's going to be windy with some rain and snow tonight. I'll look slyly on my window from time to time then.

In the meantime, as I was confined the rest of the afternoon in the four corners of my room, here's the LO for my Day 35 (full size here). Yes, we walked from upper to midtown to some parts of downtown Manhattan (east side). Took the subway (for the first time) and went to Chinatown. Dinner was served at Lombardi's in Little Italy. (Thank you so much for a whole day of fun and adventure, Lolo Thor and Ate Shirley.)
