Dreaming On.
Sunday, 05 December 2010

While the boys were singing karaoke one night, I was dreaming about leather boots, wool coat, cashmere sweat shirt, and a black soft leather bag.

When I started paying my taxes, I promised myself to refrain from buying things that I know I can live without (well, even if I don't promise myself, there's no way I can buy stuff now as I still have to save for my Mom's allowance). Wool coats cost at least less than $200 (the one in the photo costs something like $500 that even if I am working in IT and earning what I should really be earning, I'd think a thousand times to buy it!). Cashmere sweat shirts cost at least $40 (from the thrift shop that I know), the bag that I saw in eBay, I could bid for at least $35.99 (if you're lucky to win the bidding, plus shipping) and the boots would cost around $200.

My friend kept asking me what I want for my birthday and for Christmas. I believe I should want what I truly need. I can't think of anything right now. All I can do is dream on and be thankful-- really be grateful that God has given me a job and people to provide what I need. And for these people, I am really thankful. It just feels good to dream on sometimes. I am sure I'd get the things I want when I get the chance to save again.
