| Distressing Some Earthlings |

If earthworms, centipedes, and some watchamacallit earth creatures have fingers like ours, they might have given me their middle fingers today. And if they have mega phones, I am sure I might have heard lots of screaming and swearing, too. "Whatda... we're sleeping, can't you see?! Dig somewhere else!!!" It is not the first day of Spring time but for me it felt like it is the first day of Spring. I woke up early today, had my usual mug of brewed coffee and some toasted bread then waited for my SIL so I could ask her what task I can do outside since the weather is good and it is inviting. While waiting, I watched some rabbits hopping in the backyard and some birds picking something from the grass. Ahh... hibernation is over. Rabbits, deers, squirrels are out now. Soon, I hope, I'll see some groundhogs again. Remember how excited I was when I first saw these creatures roaming just around here? Heaven! Even tried to go near a groundhog without him (or her-- how would I know?!) noticing me. I can never catch one though. He (she?!) ran away when I said, "hello...". (Argh! No you-got-me-at-hello moment!) Anyways... today, while the distant church's chimes were playing Amazing Grace and with the chirping of some birds in the background, I started removing some rocks, stones, and pebbles around Mama Mary's grotto. My SIL planted some perennial plants (I wuv the flowers!) and I was allowed to plant the red barberry bushes. If those bushes survive, then maybe I can try to plant some more. I wanted to know if I have a green thumb first and I don't want to put the other plants at risk, just in case, so let me stick to distressing the earth for now. Time flies when one is outside. If it weren't for my SIL telling me what time it was, I would still ignore my aching back. I was having fun, digging and picking pebbles and stones. But yes, there is still the morrow. I will let those earthlings have their rest again. If the weather permits tomorrow, we will see each other again. *Hehe.* Tonight, I myself shall take a rest. Whoever left that link on e-books in my chatbox, thank you. Pammy has Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography now. At least I can read books again, though paperless now like my Bible. Uhh... Did you know that Pareng Ben was a vegetarian? He did it not only because he's health-conscious but because vegetables were much cheaper than meat and he wanted to buy books from the little money that he has then. He had a different kind of appetite suppressant, eh? At least that was his primary reason why he's gotten into the vegetarian-thingy. Funny thing was, he started eating fish again when he opened a big fish and saw its inside (the stomach)-- with small fishes. Then he said, "If you are eating your own kind, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't eat you!" Witty! I am beginning to like Pareng Ben. Speaking of books... I read somewhere that Ricky Lee's book-- Para Kay B -- is good. I am waiting for some more reviews. I still have a few weeks to decide if I want a copy or not. Anyway, I still have a few books lined up here. Well, time's up. Pareng Ben is waiting. |
