My Traffic Life

I am Mae German. 34 years old. Born in Mangatarem, province of Pangasinan. I was taught and trained by Juan Dela Cruz, and I am currently being trained for more by Uncle Sam. Writing since the age of 12. Blogging since 2001. I keep a notebook and a pen in my bag, on my bedside table, and inside the bathroom. Misses a lot. Sometimes even my own voice. Loves to laugh. Sometimes even at myself. I am a work in progress. My ultimate dream is to be a SAHM. That is, if I am bound to have that chance in this lifetime... and I am.

My Traffic Rules

Don't take my words personally. At times, not even literally. This is my journal. You're my reader. My spectator. Applaud. Yawp. Yawn. Smile. Frown. Rave. Rant. Or not. Neither can I see you from where I am standing nor can I hear you.

This is not my life. Maybe just a part of it. But this is me meandering through life. My emotions fluctuate. My opinion varies. If it's too hot in here and you can't take it, leave. If it's dull and too cold, go somewhere else for warmth. I won't wipe the frown on your brow.

My stories, unless stated otherwise, are mostly fictional. Fiction could be based on reality. Still, they are fiction. Don't own it. Don't live in it. It is what it is. Leave it.

Watch out for the traffic light. Follow the rules. Cruise.

Send a Gift

The other day, if not for my phone ringing at noontime, I might have slept the whole day. It was AV calling, sharing me the news that he got a new dog and that he's treating it like a baby (happy for you doc! I envy you actually as you know how much I love dogs). I was offline for more than 24 hours. Mind you, that is something!

I was tempted to watch cable TV the whole day yesterday or go online as usual but I decided to grab a book and just stay in bed (uhh.. I actually don't have a bed). I have managed to finish reading Can You Keep A Secret? last night, a book that I borrowed from DEP, September of last year (sorry for the overdue). My mind was just so dead-tired when I hit the sack at night that I have completely ignored all the books that I am supposed to be reading. I haven't even fully browsed over the pages of The New Digital Photography Manual that C2 gave me for my birthday. Now I am into If the Pasta Wiggles, Don't Eat It... , which I borrowed from DM. This book has caught my attention some time last year and I couldn't get my personal copy now since all the bookstores that I went to have ran out of stock already (I'll try to finish it soon DM *wink*). I still have the CSS book to finish (it says CSS in 24 hours, by the way! LOL!) and should prioritize getting into some Macromedia Flash books (drooling over them actually, as I have recentely installed Flash MX for Mac).

I miss reading a good book.
I am not a fan of e-books (PDFs).
I love the smell of books.

I wish I have an access to a library nearby...
