My Traffic Life

I am Mae German. 34 years old. Born in Mangatarem, province of Pangasinan. I was taught and trained by Juan Dela Cruz, and I am currently being trained for more by Uncle Sam. Writing since the age of 12. Blogging since 2001. I keep a notebook and a pen in my bag, on my bedside table, and inside the bathroom. Misses a lot. Sometimes even my own voice. Loves to laugh. Sometimes even at myself. I am a work in progress. My ultimate dream is to be a SAHM. That is, if I am bound to have that chance in this lifetime... and I am.

My Traffic Rules

Don't take my words personally. At times, not even literally. This is my journal. You're my reader. My spectator. Applaud. Yawp. Yawn. Smile. Frown. Rave. Rant. Or not. Neither can I see you from where I am standing nor can I hear you.

This is not my life. Maybe just a part of it. But this is me meandering through life. My emotions fluctuate. My opinion varies. If it's too hot in here and you can't take it, leave. If it's dull and too cold, go somewhere else for warmth. I won't wipe the frown on your brow.

My stories, unless stated otherwise, are mostly fictional. Fiction could be based on reality. Still, they are fiction. Don't own it. Don't live in it. It is what it is. Leave it.

Watch out for the traffic light. Follow the rules. Cruise.

Send a Gift

Alvin and The Chipmunks I was never a fan of the Chipmunks. In fact, I never had the chance to watch the (cartoon) TV series. But I would admit, I love listening to their Christmas songs. I love hearing their versions of a lot of songs actually. I can't help but laugh whenever I hear one and Alvin and the Chipmunks movie was a sure-treat as I don't really watch movies in theaters a lot lately and I would say I have become an instant fan of the characters (Alvin, Simon, and Theodore). This is one movie that I wouldn't mind even if it would run the whole day (it's 1 hr and 30 min running time isn't enough), the fact that I've watched it with the E!

The original plan was just to watch it with the S family, as we would wait for the others (from the usual badminton games), for our usual Saturday night (late) dinner. Fortunately, all seats were already taken for the 7:50pm show time of the movie. The others were able to join us for the 10:10pm show time. Now that's more FUN!

Well, as the movie would need an ending, the day would need one as well. We had dinner at NP Kopi Tiam. Just dessert for me since we had early dinner at Won Ton while waiting for the others and the movie show time. Tried NP Kopi Tiam's Japanese Cheesecake and my usual Kopi C.

Hmm.. food. These, I have to share...

Are you familiar with Kraft Caramel Squares? I luuuuuvvv it! I am always in the look-out whenever I am inside a candy store or whenever I see a Candy Corner booth in the malls. Most of the time I fail to see one that sells them. But last night, as I was in line to get our ticket for the movie, I saw a Candy Corner near the ticket-booth. And my heart leapt when I saw one of their jars filled with these caramel squares. I bought 200g (more or less 24 cubes) which we devoured while waiting. And oh! I also bought 100g of Red Vines Licorice Twists!

Delightful evening, it was! But just like the movie, the dinner, and all, (good) things have to end (quick) sometimes. Even the caramel squares were long-gone of course. But the fun of having all these in one night will always be intact.

There will always be some more (especially now that I've found one convenient place to get my caramel cubes from).
