Some days are dull, some days some of us have our own set of little adventures. I had mine on Thursday when the subways started showing signs in the morning: It will not be a nice day. Of course I ignored it and thought of the other way around. C was traveling with me that morning. For me, that's how a good day would start. Then suddenly the 7-train's door kept opening and closing, causing some delays in our transit (and it's the morning rush, by the way) and they announced some problem near 5th Ave., Manhattan, which actually have given me a little tension, but I kept my calm. I know I will be late for work and when I am late for work, Storm Cloud's parents will be late for work, too, but you can't really do something when you're in a subway and there's no signal on your mobile phone. So, C and I decided to take our risk in transferring to R-train at Roosevelt Ave. station, which actually gave me a boost. We made a good decision. I was only late for five minutes. What I did not know was that little sign that morning meant that there will be a bigger one in the evening. My usual 1-and-a-half-hour travel from work to home became 3 hours that night. There was a thunderstorm at 5 in the afternoon that day that it caused another delay in the subways. 7-train stopped operating until 8pm. I had to use the R-train again and unfortunately, because I was so exhausted, I fell asleep and missed my stop. I had to cross over to get to another R-train going back to where I was supposed to stop to get the 7-train. To get things worst, buses were late, too, and swarms of people were already in line. It was bad but I took my chance in sneaking in line to get a seat for the 9pm bus. I was dead tired when I got to bed that night but I guess that is just what I needed to get through the night without getting up in the middle of the night to pee, eh? Sometimes I do that at 3- or 4am, too. I hate it! Anyhow, this is not a complaint. I am just narrating. But I think if I can do something to ease my life while enjoying work, I'd do that. I am actually considering of getting my own space some day. For now, since I have some bottles to fill-in, I am going to stick to what I got and think that it is just one of the best ways for a quick weight loss. Haha! |
