A few things crossed out.
Tuesday, 21 July 2009

I had a few things crossed out on my to-do list today. First, the post office-- finally I can afford to buy some stamps (yey!), then the bank.

Kuya was supposed to drop me off at my bus stop just like last time, the covered one was farther from my usual bus stop, but since I had to do some personal errands, I asked to be dropped off at the post office. Then I walked to the bank, which is a few kilometers away from the PO. I was done with my business in the bank 25 minutes before the next bus sched. The nearby park was inviting (I wanted to take some pictures sana) but it was drizzling. I went to the public library instead. South Plainfield Public Library has no (film) scanner. *sigh*

I stayed for a couple of minutes inside and browsed through the books on the shelves by the door. It said, FREE BOOKS. Wow, if this is in my country, these are all gone, I told myself.

I did not find anything that's interesting. I was really planning to get Grandma a book today. Some short stories that I could read for her. I figure, if I will read to her a novel, we can't finish that in a day, and by the next time that I continue reading it to her, she might not remember what the story was about. She's got a short memory now. You can read something to her now and read the same material to her the next day and she'll probably won't remember it. But of course, even if she seems to not remember my name (I am not even sure if she remembers me at all), I don't want to read to her a story over and over again. Who am I kidding, eh?

Anyways...

I was able to purchase my vitamin E from GNC (NY Penn Station) and guess what else I got... Bee Pollen! Although the kind that I got was in a capsule. It's not Ilog Maria but at least it's GNC, a brand that I trust.

I still have a lot of things in mind but it is past my bedtime. I am thankful that Mon drove for me tonight. I had to buy some stuff from Walgreens. And since we're out, he showed me the other Roman Catholic church here. I need to go to a church. I'll tell you more about that soon. For now, let me hit the sack.

This is just actually my way of saying I have arrived at my destination, safe and sound. Goodnight bloghoppers.
