Today, RSB (with her parents and some of the elders) tagged me along to their trip to Padre Garcia, Batangas City. It was their town fiesta and Sis. NPL invited the elders to visit. She's the mother of JPL (a classmate in highschool). I wasn't warned that in Batangas, feasts are well-celebrated and that you have to eat in every house that you visit. And no one warned us that we'd visit not one but three houses. So you could just imagine that at lunch, I felt like I had my meal for the whole day already (including dinner) at Sis. NPL's house. RSB and I watched Awake on DVD while the elders chat. After the film, tamales (suman) was served with their very own kapeng barako (brewed coffee). It's my first time to try their homegrown coffee and I'd give it 2 thumbs up. Then we headed to the next house and the next. I was so full that I just had a piece of banana at the last stop. Then each of us was given a bag of goodies too. I will remember this day forever! *burp* After a few stops -- a cemetery and a visit to RSB's cousins, at 6pm, we decided to head home. I was full. I could last without having dinner or even breakfast the next day. At least that was I thought... "8pm. 7 Corners Resto. Crowne Plaza. Tell D. See you," it was C2. He's leaving for Shanghai tomorrow. 7 Corners restaurant serves dinner buffet and I know that with C2, D, and FC (and his wife, RC), it's going to be one fun food-trip that I don't want to miss (I shouldn't!). And I am really glad I made it on time. Oh well... I'm sleepy now (busog eh!) hence I cannot share every detail of the wonderful day I had in Batangas and the fun dinner I had with friends at the 7 Corners. But how's this-- we were the last customers at 7 Corners and we said goodbye at half past 12mn? Doesn't sound fun, eh? It was sssssoo much FUN! *burppp* Thank You, Lord. |
