Prescription Drugs.
Tuesday, 03 May 2011

Back in the Philippines, my dermatologist had suggested that I use Benzoyl Peroxide to get rid of pimples. She specifically suggested that I use Galderma Benzac AC 5%. So when I got here in the U.S. and my skin started breaking out again, I ran to the nearest pharmacy to see if they have it. Unfortunately they don't. Later I found out that it is a prescription drug here just like the Amoxicillin that I could easily get back home.

Frustrated to get ahold of that ointment, everytime I get a chance, I go inside a pharmacy and browse their skin care section to try my luck and see if there's something that is similar to what I need. Luckily I found a 10% cream. Not of the same brand but I thought I'd try it. I don't know why they should put that over the counter when the 5% is a prescription drug, but it has worked for me.
