I did another revision for the brochure yesterday. Size should be 17in x 11in plus an eighth (for the bleed) instead of 18in x 12in. Working with that size (with 300dpi) has taken lots of my working space. It has drained GreenApple's memory and many times it has warned me to end the task because PS wasn't responding. I declared 'success' around 6pm and told Kuya Rey that the CD was ready for pick-up. I had to burn the files on CD because the printer asked for my raw images. I sent them JPGs, TIF, and my PSD files. They can do whatever they want with the PSDs now. Chief Tindero have finally sent me the revisions that I have to do on their frontpage. Did a new banner and added some new items and that's it. I received my moolah through PayPal yesterday. How's $40/month for a bakasyonista?! It can't bring me anywhere but at least I have something to pay for my rides. Ate gave me some pocket money, too, last time. And a 66-dollar PayPal transaction went through last week (it's for the articles that I have completed). *hehe* Speaking of accomplishments, I was done reading Benjamin Franklin's Autobiography last night and I am about to start on Thomas Edison: His Life and Inventions. And the Bible? I'm already in the book of 1 Kings (Yeah... still in the Old Testament). They're all e-books on my mobile phone, Pammy. Paperless or soft copy as we call it. I have Mobipocket and BibleReader installed a few months ago. The BEIKS English Dictionary has a separate e-reader though. And speaking of yet another book (hard copy this time), Bob Ong has a new book (Kapitan Sino) and I have to get one and see how it is. Maybe in July. (Patience, Mae). I wonder when I am going to start with a Greek Mythology book. I bought one in high school and I still haven't finished reading it. Anyways... I still have the rest of my life to do that. Hahah! I am waiting for my niece to hand me the book that she's currently reading. Looks interesting. Told myself I'd try to read that for a change. Well, I am not a wide-reader and I don't really read a lot. Except for the Bible that I have committed on reading before I close my eyes (having it on my mobile phone makes it really convenient for me), the rest, I only read whenever I feel like it. Or should I say, whenever I have the luxury of time to do so? Because contrary to what people think that I am bored (I have been here for 8 months already), I am not. It's so easy to find something to do here and I have nothing but simple pleasures. I am still trying to penetrate into something that could help me financially but while there's none, I am doing pro bono. (It's an opportunity for some I-do-it-for-love thing, Tita L. *hehe*). My "vacation" could be over soon, I was told. But then, we'll never know the twist in the road, the adventures that I have yet to get into, and the lessons that I have yet to learn. All I am sure about, is that I am really blessed that I have my family here. My vacation is worthwhile then. Moving on... I am going to rest my eyes from working long hours in front of GreenApple today. I still have to work on the web sites, I know, but I'd like to move a little today. Weather news says it's going to rain but since the sun is out, I am going out and continue working in the yard again. Summer is almost here and we need to put grass, soon, on that part of earth that we have been working on (I can't wait to see that earth covered with greens!). Before I go offline, let me share a photo that I have taken this morning. Kuya woke me up and I was happy to get off my bed right away. There's a huge turtle in our neighbor's yard. |
