Fruitful Week
Friday, 29 May 2009

Na-ah. I don't really feel too productive today but there are quite a few things that I am glad I was able to do. Like, I was able to work on the outside pages of the brochure that I am currently working on (and another one for my employer this week, too), I was able to cook ground pork with potatoes, carrots, and raisins (giniling in short), I was able to fry some daing na bangus successfully, and of course, my favorite task-- driving the lawn mower truck. Thank God, Haring Araw was out even for a short time (it rained right after I was done cleaning the truck).

Although I wasn't able to run by the lake (I'd like to commit a day for that kind of exercise now that the weather is getting better), I could say that the past week was a blast. Anyways, I did a lot of walking in Manhattan (NY) on Tuesday and in Metuchen and Edison (NJ) on Wednesday. I think that should do for this week.

I was supposed to walk the whole 4.5 miles from Metuchen Rail Station to South Plainfield last Wednesday. That's supposed to be 3 towns here in NJ-- Metuchen, Edison, then South Plainfield. Unfortunately, when I got to the end of Edison (Park Ave.), there was a bridge without a walkway. I knew there was another bridge in Central Ave. but I didn't want to take another risk, unless I wanted to miss the 6:30pm bus, which is the last trip going home, by the way. Me and my wandering mind, I was lucky to find the right way going to the road where buses pass by. I got there 3 minutes before the last bus passed by. Phew! Next time I'll try the bridge in Central Ave., check if there's a walkway.

Hmmm.. maybe I was productive today. I just feel heavy, that's it. Do I need to turn to the aid of some weight loss products soon? Not really. I'll stick to my no-rice diet, green tea (for faster metabolism), and of course, running, jogging, and walking.

My title says, Fruitful Week. Right, it is actually. I don't want to jinx it.

Season's changing soon. The one flower that I am holding is withering and PJ is already dead. *sigh*
