I got rid of my yellow-gold(s) a few years ago. From yellow-gold pair of earrings to my yellow gold chain (bracelets and necklace) and resorted to white-gold instead (haven't replaced my pair of earrings yet that's why I use my silver ones sometimes). Let's educate ourselves, as I wanted to understand these days, the difference between a yellow and a white gold (there's even a rose-gold). Both are metals alright. But according to the jeweler, from whom I got my bracelet (in exchange of my yellow ones), white-gold are usually made of 21-karat gold and is a combination of yellow-gold and platinum, hence it is harder than the yellow ones, hence most diamonds go with white-golds (or platinum) instead of the yellow ones. We all know that diamond is the hardest substance found in nature, right? Well, I should get going... on to my next scribble.
